A Little Note

Dear B,

Please do not tell me what I do and what I don't do. This is especially when all I see you do is sit on the couch, browse the Internet, and nap. The next time you want the third towel in a stack of six, please neatly take the towel you want and not rumple the others. When I politely ask you arrange them in a neat stack again, please do so knowing that they were all nice and even before you decided to rumple them. Please do not have attitude with me because of your laziness and the fact that I called you out on it. It does not matter if my sock drawer is a mess, I like my towels stacked neatly. After all, I am the one that regularly washes them and puts them away.

Ranch Dressing

In my attempt to start eliminating processed foods from my diet, I made ranch dressing the other day. I will never buy ranch dressing again. I got home from work at 6:15 and by 6:20 it was finished!

3/4 C sour cream (I used light)
3/4 C mayonnaise (light, as well)
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp lemon juice
1 clove of garlic -- minced
a bunch of chives -- chopped
2/3-1 C buttermilk (I used slightly less than 1 cup)
Salt and Pepper to taste

Dump everything in the blender except the buttermilk. Blend until smooth and stream in buttermilk until it has reached your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings. Unlike the store bought dressing this is slightly green, but tastes great!

Dinner: B will be going out, so I'll probably eat "chick food".
